PM for int ' l help climate challenges

The Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, their exposure to the developed economies, Bangladesh has to face the risks of climate change support reaffirms.


' Bangladesh is one of the countries, the particularly vulnerable to global climate change. We have taken many steps to protect our people from the adverse impacts of climate change, but we need international support successfully the challenge, "she said."


The Prime Minister was a session on the retreat as part of the ongoing three-day Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting 2011, State reception centre, King's Park in Perth Saturday afternoon addressing.


The Australian Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Kamla Persad Bissessar, and other heads of State and Government, participating in the CHOGM joined the retreat.


Briefing reporters, the PM's spokesman Abul Kalam Azad, said while the retreat various issues such as climate change, food security and safe migration discussed Hasina and other leaders of the CHOGM.


The Prime Minister said, although Bangladesh contributed very little it to global warming, was forced to order the Wraths for climate change to face.


Despite the climate change risks, she said that her Government was working hard to achieve universal food security for the people.
