On the sixth annual awarded UNICEF Meena Media Awards 2010 to journalists 21 documentary makers and writers for their outstanding work in promoting the rights of the child.
Winners were selected from candidates and about 400 entries in two major categories: journalistic and creative print and electronic media.

According to Karel de Roy congratulating winners "you did children this country a great service by bringing in the voices of children and issues at the forefront."
News reports draw attention to violations of children rights, accountability of Governments, civil society, communities and families about issues.
"But much of the recent study supported by UNICEF, shows that the media in Bangladesh are reported cases of children despite the fact that approximately 45% of the total population of Bangladesh under 18.
I, II and III respectively award recipients in each category and age group and receive a cash prize of 50,000, 25,000 Taka Taka and 15,000 Taka.
Celebrities from the fields of literature, journalism, film, documentary, and academia of the Panel of judges who adhere to a rigorous and transparent process for selecting the winners.
Names of participants and their media not detected take final decisions.
